• Medic 113 and 213 are primarily designated as basic life support (BLS) medical units. These units are staffed with licensed EMTs and are equipped with EMT jump bags, "code bags" (bags with only the necessary amount of equipment for cardiac arrests), airway suction, AED, and oxygen.

• Command 113 is an integral unit for both fire fighting, rescue, and EMS operations. Command 113 is typically manned by the highest-ranking officer on call who will assume the duties and responsibilities of the Incident Commander once on scene. Command 113 is equipped with BLS equipment.

• Command 113 is currently undergoing the process of receiving state-of-the-art electronic mapping and tracking systems to aid in the safe operations of rescues and natural disasters.
